  5. PERFORMANCE TASK 1

OLD MEMORIES WITH MY LOVE ONES

When I was little, we used to live at Laguna with my Aunties, Uncles, and grandparents on my mother side. Even though there's no internet there, they made me happy everytime I feel bored. We eat together, live together, and even celebrated my birthday with them. Few years passed by, we moved to our house here on Antipolo. I got sad because I'm not with them anymore. But distance didn't stopped us, they visited us on their vacation day just to see us again. That didn't last long, few days later, they left again and came back to Laguna. My grandmother, Lola Rose often sends us toys or anything that makes us satisfied and happy. Even though they live so far, their love didn't change, it's still like before. Someday I will visit them there too, because it's been long years since I saw them. They are supportive relatives to us, they supports us to whatever we want and cheers us up. They also congratulates us to the achievements we got, they are so proud to us that they gives us rewards sometimes when they got something they can give to us and I was grateful to have them in our lives

The meaningful life lesson they taught me is “ If you want it, work hard for it”. They taught me to fight fair on life, because we know life is tough—but full of Hope. There's one time I want to give my sister a gift, but I don't have money. I said “Mom, I want to give sister a gift on her debut.” Mom answered “Save money if you want, not anything you can get without working hard on it.” I found bottles on our house so i used it as my piggy bank, and started saving. Months passed, my sister’s debut came. I handed my savings to my mom and said “mom, add money on it If you can so we can buy her a cake.” She did, and my sister was so happy and hugged me tightly. Until now, I still saves money so I can buy whatever I want because not forever I could seek help to my family, sometimes you really need to learn how to stood on your own feet without anyone's help. My parents are so proud of me by doing it at a young age because not all kids are like me.

  6. How I and my grandmother spend our times together

Since I was little, my grandmother had always been by my side because my mother is in the other country working and my father is busy with his work. Sometimes my grandmother would take me and my sister to walk so that we wouldn't get bored inside the house and not be addicted to our gadgets. Also, whenever we want or I want something to eat, she would cook for me my favourite food, which is adobong tokwa. She would also cook a food that I like whenever I don't want the food that is on the table.

One day when I was in school my teacher announced that there will be a poster making contest, since I really like drawing I decided to join the contest ,but in the day of the contest I was really nervous because my one classmate that is really good at drawing is joining, after the contest I was really proud of myself because I thought I did my best at that time, then the time came and it's time to announce the winners the third place got on a fourth grade and the first place goes to my classmate the one I'm telling you guys that is really good at drawing which means i got the second place, when I got home my grandmother realises that I was sad so she ask me what happened to me and i said "i only got the second place, not the first place "then my grandmother told me that "atleast you got the second place,it doesn't matter if you didn't get the first place,ok remember this, life is not just about winning life is also about having fun,it doesn't matter if it doesn't go as you expected" after what my grandmother said i feel something inside me that tells me that "yeah my grandmother is true what matters is that I have fun

    1. I really liked your story because it shows the special bond you have with your grandmother, especially how she takes care of you and teaches you important lessons in life. What struck me the most was the part where your grandmother comforted you after the contest because it reminded me that not everything in life is about winning. I chose your story because it is very heartwarming and inspiring compared to others. I can also relate to it because my own grandmother also guides me whenever I feel sad and she always gives me encouraging words. Your story taught me that what truly matters is to enjoy everything in life.

  7. How my grandmother and I spend our time with each other .

Since I was little, my grandmother has been with me. My grandfather died early due to illness, so I only spend time with my grandmother. Sometimes I go to their house so that my grandmother and I can bond. Sometimes I get scolded because of my misbehavior. I know that she loves me. When I take the fruit from her trees, she gets angry, but I know that she will pass it on to us.

    2. Title how I spend may time with may grand mother

My grandmother told me to be kind and obedient to people, so I did that because she said it was important, so I did that. Being kind is because of following them, so I graduated. He told me to study hard because it's expensive. He said I shouldn't date first and study first, finish my studies and look for a job because if I date, I'll be broke. And I don't prioritize my studies, life will be difficult, that's why being poor is so difficult, that's why I prioritize my studies and then being a good child, that's why I prioritize and And have respect and say "please" and "yes" because being polite is necessary because if you want to be respected, you should also respect them. Because they say that rude children are bad.So I followed my grandmother's advice, which was to respect people, young and old, because she said it was bad for me to be rude, so I followed my grandmother and she always fed me with pickles. That my grandmother and I will be happy

  9. My Bond with My Grandmother

My grandmother and I are not. very close since my grandmother lives not that far but you have to walk to their house because roads there are not developed yet and it is also hard to get to, especially in rainy season because the mud will be slippery. The grandmother I am talking about is my father sides' mother.

I have gone there for maybe 8 times, my grandmother lives in a kind of hut and there are rivers infront of them, that is why when I was a kid I liked going there because I wanted to swim and I was very shy as a kid so me and my grandmother weren't that close. But now or sometimes she would go up to my grandfather's house and it was close to our house. She would come at random times and give me money, even when I was a kid. Everytime I go there, she gives me money which is often 100 pesos. My father would try to deny it since my grandmother needs it more since they need support but my grandmother would not. I was happy and say "thank you po" but nothing more because — I was shy. We dont spend much time together because of it.

The valueble lesson I have learned from my grandmother is ; even if my grandmother didn't have that much money, she still gave me hers. Even when my father tried to deny it, she still insisted me to have it. That shows that even if you do not have much, you can still show your love through small but meaningful ways and it is how exactly my grandmother did it.

  10. My Grandmother

My grandmother is a great cook. She always makes my favorite dishes, and I can feel the love she puts into her cooking. She is not just a great cook but also a person full of love and kindness. I still remember when she taught me how to cook hotdogs and eggs. I was excited and happy, but I almost burned them! Instead of scolding me, she smiled and said, “Practice makes progress.” Those words became a lesson I carry with me. My grandmother is one of the most important people in my life.

What makes my grandmother truly special is her perseverance, hard work, and never giving up. She taught me one of the most important lessons: the power of being kind and having inner strength. She told me that she had faced many difficulties in life, but she never gave up. She always finds a way to keep moving forward with strength and kindness. She also reminded me that challenges are part of life, but it is up to us to choose our paths and make good decisions. My grandmother is more than just a grandmother; she is a teacher, a role model, and a source of inspiration.

The valuable lessons I have learned from bonding with my grandmother are to always try my best and not give up easily. Because of her, I have learned to face challenges in life with courage and patience. She also showed me that by being good and working hard, I can improve and achieve my goals. I realized that life is full of obstacles, but with a positive attitude, I can overcome them. These lessons have made me more courageous, responsible, and hopeful for the future.

Jea Mae's story made me happy because when I was little, my grandmother taught me how to cook too. When I made a mistake, they always say that it's part of our lives. And it's true, practice makes progress, I kept on learning how to cook until I know how to make it more better than before. Now, they're still teaching me different dishes so in that way, when I get older, I know how to cook. Your story really inspired me, because in life, you can't make anything perfect, but practice makes progress.

  12. PERFORMANCE TASK 1
    Christmas Lesson

When I was younger, we always celebrated Christmas and New Year with our relatives, because that time our life was very hard and also they wanted us to visit them. My aunt named Edna didn’t want us to call her aunt; instead, she wanted us to call her "mommy." She was also the one who always invited us to her house every Christmas.

One time they invited us again to their house to celebrate Christmas, and my parents agreed, cause why not? While I was playing, I saw our other relatives. This was also my aunt, her name is Sheryl, and they lived at Quezon City (QC). Mommy also invited them to her house just to make Christmas much happier.

Later that day I saw them drinking alcohol, talking to each other, and laughing. I just ignored them and continued playing with my cousins. Later on, they called me and my brother because they had something to tell us. My mommy said, “Do you know why I always invite you?” And we said, “Because you want us to be happy.” And my mommy said, “Yes, that’s also the reason, but the real reason is because this is the only time you’re not busy at work or school. Because if all of you are busy, of course you don’t have enough time to celebrate. While still young, let’s enjoy it—but don’t overdo it, just enough to make us happy again, and don’t burn out.”

  13. PERFORMANCE TASK:1
    title: my beloved Grandpa

When I was young I grew up on my mother's side, my grandfather lived in the same place with me so we often saw each other. When I was a kid, we have many memories, like how he taught me how to be a responsible kid, He also taught us siblings how to be polite and respectful to everyone. I still remember the time when he taught me how to be a responsible child. My grandfather didn't stop until I learned the things he wanted me to apply to myself, He wanted us not to grow up disrespectful to anyone. My grandmother was gone when I was alive. So if I wanted to know and hear about their lives in the past, my grandfather was ready to tell me stories. My grandfather also loved to sing, so when he was still alive, he was always by my side when I was little to sing to me and tell me things I wanted to know. He used to have a lot of talent, I'm so proud of him because even though he's old and has parts of his body that can hurt, he still doesn't stop trying to survive on his own.My grandfather doesn't want to share our food because his excuse is always that his daughter has her own family so he doesn't want to share with us, but even so, we don't let him follow his own wishes because we don't want him to tire his body just because he wants to, It may be hard for him, but he has to follow what our parents tell him because we just don't want to tire him out. My grandfather is generous, when he has something, he doesn't hesitate to give it to us. Our grandfather sees us as equals, so we're not that jealous of each other. We are grateful because he was our grandfather, he was loving, hardworking, kind, and above all, he was the best grandfather to us. He was the best, we were happy and grateful because we had a grandfather like our grandfather now, but sadly he passed away, he passed away on June 11, 2023 But we will never lose our gratitude for being a good grandfather to us.

I remember the last time we celebrated Christmas with him, he was happy and gave us each a message, he told us to "be strong in all things" "Always remember that nothing lasts forever in this world, so choose to be kind and respectful to one another." So We couldn't help but burst into tears and told him that we would do and apply what he taught us from childhood to old age until our final destination. After all that, he gave us each a hug and we thanked him for being our grandfather, After we finished saying thank you, we ate and he told us about his life before with his children, who are our parents, We listened to him happily and quietly because at that moment we gained new knowledge about their lives before.

  16. My beloved Tatay Nestor

Tatay Nestor is 73 years old and we used to call him Tatay Nesty. He is a farmer and he lives in San Miguel,Leyte. He is the father of my papa.Every morning at around 5:30,he always went to the farm to bring his carabao to the other side of it to eat grass. And after that,he pick some kangkong leaves for the pigs to eat.He also have a pet duck, chicken and a goat. After he finished feeding his pet animals,he went to the rice field to check the rice grains. If there is a wild grass,he picks it up so the rice grains grow healthy. He clean the pathwalk which he used to walk everyday to check the rice fields side by side.If the rice grains is already bloomed,he put some scarecrow to scare the maya birds who attempt to eat the rice grains. He went to his home at 11:30 and he came back at the rice field at 2:00 in the afternoon. And that is my Lolo's daily Routine.

Last year,March 15,I was 10 years old way back then,me and my Mama visits Tatay Nestor every sunday. We always bring him some suman because it's his favorite food.He loves to talk to me.But now he is blind because he is diabetic. My Lolo is a very jolly person. When he wants to listen to some music,he requests to my cousin to play some music. This coming October 7, my Tita is planning about Tatay Nestor's birthday. But my birthday is on October 3,and my other cousins will celebrating their birthdays on October 4 and October 9.So my Tita just planned to celebrate our birthdays together.

  17. When I just a child there are so many memories of my grandparents and going
    to church is my favorite.
Before I join the church my grandfather already told me how to pray for my blessings. And when I was six years old I join the church. Every sunday I wake up early to go to the church with my grandparents. For me this day is my favorite because I can spent time with my grandparents. And from there I learn so much and I also start to share what I learn from the church. And my grandparents are happy for me for joining them to go to the church. I also
learn how to sing with my grandparents and even dancing. After church we usually spent time eating together and finally going home. For me this is the best memories of my grandparents.

A year past and my grandparents are getting old but they continue to go to the church. Until one day my grandparents
can't no longer go to the church. Am so sad but I understand that they getting old so even not going to church. Am still praying everyday. After I wake up and before sleeping I pray. Now that I grow up that is still my favorite memories of my grandparents. And l enjoy spending time together with my grandparents even they can't no longer go to church they still make me happy everyday by loving me and guiding me to the right path. My grandparents have a really big impact to my life. Because without them a not the person who I am now. So love your grandparents until they alive when they gone only there memories remains and also there life lessons that they teach you.

  21. Title: My Grandmother

When I was a baby, my grandmother gave me a bracelet and said, "Keep the bracelet until you grow up." And when I was 5 years old, I lost it, and my grandmother got mad at me about it. She slaps me on my butt, and I'm crying, but she is trying hard to make me smile.

And when I was 8 years old, my grandmother gave me a cake for my birthday celebration. And there's more: she gave me a big cake with cupcakes, and my aunt and uncle gave me money, but my mother grabbed the money for his parcel, but she said, "I'm giving it back to you." Until I was 9 years old, she didn't give it back, and I felt sad because it was valuable for me and it was important, but my grandmother gave me money. And when I was 11 years old, my grandmother was always mad at me, but I don't know why she was mad at me. I'm feeling so left out because my cousin is too close to my grandmother and me… I don't know why, but I want to talk to her, but I'm feeling bad for myself. But by the way, I am 12 years old right now. My grandmother and I are too close, and she gives me food every time I come to her house, and I'm so happy every time I come to her house because their accessories are so valuable and gold & silver, so I don't want to hold them because I don't want to break them. 255 And my grandmother gave me a bag and money, and she said, "Go shopping." And I was excited, but my auntie stopped me and said, "Wait for me," and I waited for her for a few minutes, and he said, "Sorry, me and my auntie are going shopping now." And he bought a lot of makeup, and I copied it.

Another lesson I learned from my grandparents is always saying 'po' and 'opo' to elders,no matter how strict they might be.they taught me that respect should never fade,no matter the situation.
