I really liked your story, “My Aunt Who Feels Like a Real Sister to Me,” because it shows how much your aunt means to you. The part I liked most was when you shared that she gives you advice and supports you, even when your father scolds you. I chose this story because it is very heartwarming and shows the love between family members. I can relate to it because I also have relatives who make me feel special and give me comfort when I face problems. Your story reminded me that having someone who believes in you can give you strength and confidence. It also taught me that family members can be our closest friends too.

I am Asheera Jillian B. Bioncio , and i have a grandmother who is the mother of my father. It is fun to have a grandmother like Nanay Adelaida (Deleng) because you can learn so much from her, especially in cooking. Sometimes Nanay Deleng and I share stories while eating together. At times, we also cook snacks such as palitaw, suman, biko, and many others. One of our favorite bonding moment is going to church every seventh day (Saturday). Most of the time,i am also with my nieces who are Nanay Deleng's great-grandchildren to chat and laugh together. Since i was a child, Nanay Deleng has been taking for us, and even now that we are grown, she continues to look after us. As i said, she always take her great-grandchildren. Nanay Deleng turned 84 years old last June 10, but despite her age, she remains strong. She always wake up early in the morning to cook suman to sell. Sometimes, before i going ti school, she gives me suman and extra allowance for my needs. I feel happy and blessed to have Nanay Deleng as my grandmother. That is why while she is still strong, I will treasure and make the most of my time with her, because time passes by so quickly.
Deep in a peaceful province, the aroma of fried dough fills the air as a grandmother and her granddaughter work together in their modest kitchen. It's a bright afternoon, and today's task is to prepare pilipit a Filipino favorite distinguished by its curled shape and crunchy texture.
Grandma, with her wrinkled hands and years of practice, guides her granddaughter patiently through the steps. "The secret," she says with a grin, "is in the kneading not too soft, not too hard." The little girl listens intently, duplicating every movement, her small fingers awkwardly molding the dough into spirals.
While they are cooked, tales come easily. Grandma talks about how she was taught the recipe by her own mother, when ingredients were limited but love was plentiful. For the granddaughter, the stories are not so much remembrances they are lessons encased in warmth, sprinkled with sugar, and fried to a perfect crisp.
The kitchen is filled with the aroma of pilipit fried in oil, its sizzling sound, and the irresistible smell of golden brown goodness. When they finally get to sit down and enjoy what they have made, the granddaughter bites into it and smiles. It's not only delicious it's a heritage piece.
In that brief moment, on a plate of freshly prepared pilipit, generations are linked. Preparing food transcends to be a link between then and now, between young and old. The kitchen is a classroom, and the recipe a heritage.
It is easy to make pilipit, but to this grandmother and granddaughter, it's tradition a way of sharing love, laughter, and culture, twist by twist.
Name: Aizyle Jyohan Daiz **A Bond Beyond the Net: A Mother-Daughter Relationship Through Volleyball**
Volleyball began as another post-school activity for Mia, yet it became the catalyst to bond her with her mother, Laura, even closer. What began with friendly matches at the community park soon developed into a common passion, creating not only a skill but a strong emotional connection between them.
Laura had played volleyball in college and high school, and even though she hadn't handled a ball in decades, seeing Mia's passion sparked her own again. Every Saturday and Sunday, the two went to the court—Laura instructing, Mia practicing. They worked on serves, honed bumps, and listened to stories from Laura's bygone playing days. The court was their sanctuary: a realm of laughter, learning, and shared knowing.
When Mia joined her school team, Laura continued to be her greatest supporter—showing up to every game, cheering the loudest, giving advice where necessary, and silent support when words failed. Their discussions at home usually revolved around volleyball, but beneath the surface, they were actually discussing trust, resilience, and growth.
Volleyball instilled discipline and self-confidence in Mia, but even more valuable was the strengthening of her relationship with her mother. Laura took pride in observing her daughter not only as a developing athlete but as a resilient young woman as well. They shared their love for the sport, but their relationship went far beyond the court.
In victories and defeats, pre-dawn practices, and midnight pep talks, they came to develop their relationship—no longer mother and daughter, but partners in life. Through volleyball, they found the elegance of growing side by side with love, patience, and a shared sense of purpose.
Mother-daughter is one of the most deep and long-lasting relationships in life. It is established on a bond of love, trust, and shared moments that start from the moment a daughter is born. A mother is the first teacher, model, and guardian of her daughter. She feeds, bathes, dresses, and burps her daughter throughout childhood. She educates her daughter by playing a role of a role model while showing patience and care.
As the daughter matures, this relationship changes. What was a dependent one becomes eventually one of mutual respect and understanding. Mothers and daughters often become best friends, confidantes, and sources of strength to each other. They exchange secrets, dreams, and fears, establishing an emotional and spiritual connection.
Obviously, as with any intimate relationship, the daughter-mother connection can be challenged. Differences in opinion, life decisions, or personality can lead to misunderstandings. But even when they conflict, love between a daughter and mother tends to overcome disagreement. The capacity to forgive and reconnect is testament to the strength of their bond.
This bond is also a legacy. Daughters tend to pass on the lessons, traditions, and values that they have been taught by their mothers. Whether it is a family recipe that has been passed down through generations or being brave enough to overcome difficulty, a daughter inherits her mother's influence in her decisions and behavior.
Finally, the love between mother and daughter is a one-of-a-kind, unreplaceable treasure. It is a bond that is characterized by unconditional love, emotional support, and an unspoken connection that will last a lifetime. Through both their happy and sad times, a mother and daughter will remain each other's anchor—a reassurance that they are never alone in life.
With each drop of rain comes a recollection of a mother watching in quiet over her son. With each beam of sunlight comes a smile—a beacon lighting the way of her child. Such is the description of the bond between a mother and son—nothing but love, sacrifice, and compassion.
As a son matures, he is usually being guided by his mother to be a good character, obedient, and kind. From learning his first steps up to dealing with the trials of life, the mother is his first teacher and guardian. In every accomplishment of the son, there stands a mother who quietly prayed and suffered. Even though a son may not always express his feelings, in his heart, there is a respect and love that only his mother is entitled to.
When errors happen, she is the first to pardon. When tears are shed, she is the first to hug. And even when silence falls, her presence speaks of peace to her son. In each "Have you eaten?" or "Take care," there is a love that words cannot possibly say.
Mother-son relationship is not flawless. There are misses, moments of estrangement. But in every tussle at the end, love wins. Because the mother-son relationship is more than blood and flesh—it is a vow that can never be broken.
In a world of change, the mother-son love is still one of the only things that remain real and unbreakable. Something to be treasured for life—either with words or silence—a tale of never-ending love.
My sister? I don't have a sister but thank to my cousin's ate Maica and ate Trisha. They made me feel what it's like to have older sisters.Since I was child, I've always been with my cousins because their house is just a few houses away from ours.Whit them,I first experienced care that felt like a true sibling. However, when I was two years old, we moved to Antipolo because my mom was pregnant with my second sibling, So I didn't see them anymore. But I met my new cousin, although I was older than him,so while I was a pricess to my older cousins,I wasn't to him because Jacob was always pulling my hair and punching me.When my mom gave birth, we went back to cabuao, laguna, with my grandmother. There, my older cousins would always come to our house. Every afternoon, they would make us take a nap, and then I woke up, they were always there. When they weren't around, I would go to their place. Once,I even got hit by a vehicle on the way to their house because I saw a peso coin on the way to their place, so I picked it up, and because of that,I was hit by a motorcycle. But when I startedstudying, we moved to Antipolo, and we're still living here until now.But we still visit them during special occasions.
To my older cousins ate Maica and ate Trisha, I want to thank you because you were the ones who made me feel like I had true older sisters
I admired your story “My Cousin Who Feels Me Like a Real Sister” because it show how much your Ate Maica and Ate Trisha care for you. I chose your story because the moments you shared with them are very touching and was different and special from other stories. It feel nice while reading your story of how they made you feel like you had real sisters even you moved away. I like your story because my cousins also make me feel like I have an extra brothers and sisters. Your story reminded me of how special family bonds are even when we live far apart.
I liked this story because it showed the love for family that goes beyond any other relationship and is full of love for a parent. Micko Aylo 7 Idianale
The relationship between an aunt and her nephew is a unique one that encompasses love, friendship, and guidance. Although she is not a parent, an aunt frequently acts as a second mother—a haven for refuge, direction, and acceptance. Their relationship is established not merely on familial grounds but on authentic affection and consideration.
An aunt can be a special presence in a child's life. She is usually the one to whom the boy turns when he feels misunderstood, the one who gives sage advice without criticizing, and the one who adds a little extra fun to the day. Whether they spend weekends together on outings, bake cookies side by side, or talk heart-to-heart, each moment spent together is a memory that makes them closer.
For the boy, his aunt can be a role model—a person whom he not only admires for what she does, but for whom she is. She offers him a haven where he can be himself freely, question things, and gain knowledge of the world in a different way. Theirs is a relationship based on trust and generosity, frequently accompanied by laughter, joking, and emotional warmth.
As the boy matures, the relationship with his aunt can develop, but its foundation is solid. She can become his teenaged confidant and, eventually, a friend he returns to in adulthood. While parents are often bound by rules and responsibilities, an aunt can offer advice from a remove, so her counsel may feel more like a gentle prod than a must.
In a world where family connections can sometimes fade, the bond between an aunt and her "son" figure is a reminder of the lasting power of love that doesn’t always have to be parental. It’s deep, enduring, love
Title: appreciating small things that are too much for me
In my life, I've always been thanking god that he gave a wonderful parents for me, I don't know if i can explain much more about how i feel really lucky to have them around me. They always make sure i get what i want since I'm a kid but still manage to guide me to know the reality, the reality that no one can beat. Especially giving them both the understanding and open minded thinking. They're mostly teaching me to be patient with everything I'm handling, even asking me about the future plans that might be without them, i was really touched about the words "without them" because I don't really wanna let go of them even if they're old and needing a rest. They always tease me about the things I can't do, asking me what if they're gone and I'm alone, whos gonna take care of me? That's when i realized how I'm so lucky to have them, the love they gave me is more than anything else, including the god from above that gave me this family. God was really guiding my family, even at the weakest point we are in..many personal problems, seeing my parents with a frown or upset face makes me really sad.
But after all, my parents are the free spirit that made me feel really seen and important. No ine can't replace them in my heart, in me. For me? I was Cherish like it's really something else that is unique from them. Even hearing those words "they don't Love or either care about you if they don't discipline you by doing something abusive" but i brushed it off, knowing my parents teach me how to handle things without being disappointed at myself, they know i was really too introverted to admit my own feelings, especially when it's really a hard time, they know me better than anyone else, even other people around me.
I was really touched by your story about your parents. The way you described their guidance and support reminded me of my own family. What stood out to me was when you mentioned how they tease you about the things you can't do, but then ask who will take care of you when they're gone. That shows they really care and want the best for you. I can relate to feeling grateful for my parents and wanting to hold on to them as they get older. They've taught me so much about being patient and understanding, just like your parents have taught you. Name: nefthalie Francisco Section: idianale
Your tale is such a lovely testament to your parents' sacrifices and love. It's clear that their dedication and hard work have helped mold you into the great person you are today. It doesn't happen very often that we read such genuine appreciation, and your words tell us to thank those who have contributed so much to us. The manner in which you spoke about their patience and comprehension was especially moving and really brought your account to life. They must be very proud of you, and they should be. I always loved spending time with my grandmother. Every weekend, I visit her house, and she would welcome me with a warm smile and delicious food. We would sit together in the garden, and she always tell me all the stories about her younger days. Sometimes, she teach me how to cook in simple dishes like fried rice or soup. I enjoyed listening to her stories because they were full of wisdom and love. My favorite part was when we drank a hot chocolate together and talked about life.
One of the most important lessons that my grandmother taught me, was patience. She always said, “Good things takes time.” I remember one day when I was frustrated because I could not solve a school project. She sat beside me and reminded me to take a deep breath, think slowly, and not give up. That advice stayed with me. Until now, whenever I face challenges, I remember her words and try to stay calm and patient. Her lesson helps me in school, with my friends, and even at home. Another thing I will never forget with her is how my grandmother show kindness to everyone. Whenever a neighbor visited to her house she would always offer food, water, or even a simple smile with them. She told me that kindness costs nothing but can mean everything to someone else. I realized that her gentle actions made people happy and respected her even more. Because of her, I try my best to be kind to others, even in small ways like sharing my snacks or helping a classmate. Spending time with my grandmother was truly special, and the values she taught to me will guide me for the rest of my life. She made me understand that the patience and kindness can make the life easier and more meaningful. And I will always treasure that moments I had with my grandmother and I will continue to live by the lessons she gave me.
I am a solo child of an overseas Filipino worker father and a teacher who works miles away from home. My grandmother Lydia is the one who take good care of me mostly every time. Even she is already eighty in age, we cannot consider her old. She still fit and strong. During school days, grandma wake up early in the morning, preparing for my breakfast, my pack lunch and preparing my warm bath. I really felt her love and her care. She is a good cook. My foods are always taste good and delicious. She waits for me every day after school to provide my needs after school. Weekends is a family day. During this day, I am happier. Mother is at home and this is the “grocery” day. Mother Ella, grandma, uncle Noel and I went to the mall to buy groceries and at the same time we create more memories in a quality time. We shop, dine and watch movie together with the never stories of what we watched or what we eat. Sometimes we go to the places where we can relax and can get in touch with nature or animals.
Spending days with grandma every day is a treasure for me. She also teach me what the good character is, how to trust God and how to be a good child. Some children were not given a chance to be with their grandparents due to distance or age but me, I am living with her. Saying is proven that grandmother’s love differs from parent’s love. Even I felt love from the family but grandma’s is the best. from waking up in the morning up to sleeping at night since mother is not yet home – my grandma is there beside me, taking good care and loves me with no reservation. I love my grandma; I do promise to serve her and provide her needs in the future – to payback her love and effort to make me a better person.
I really liked your story, “Papa, My OG: Real Talk and Good Times,” because it shows the strong bond you have with your dad. The part I liked most was when he told you, “I trust you, man,” because it showed how much he believes in you. I chose this story because it feels different from the others since it talks about a father who is also like a best friend. I can relate to it because my parents also give me advice and listen when I have problems. It reminded me that trust and support from family are very important. Your story also taught me to believe in myself and to always be strong even when things are hard.
Title: My savior, my hero. My grandfather is one of the most inspiring and kindest people I know. Since I grew up, my grandfather has been on my side 24/7, taking care of me, teaching me how to grow plants and how adult life in the future will work. He also keeps protecting me at all costs. I get spoiled by him for letting me buy food whenever I'm hungry, even though he has a shortage of money—just seeing him appearing in my dream several times is already my way of saying goodbye. I love the way he teaches me moral lessons that I should apply to myself to be a stronger and more confident person. Growing up, I already realized that adult life isn't easy at all. Grandpa is still working even though his eyes already had problems just to give money that our family would spend on everyday life.
But unfortunately, things didn't go our way. He passed away on May 26, 2023. I still can't believe that my grandpa died. I didn't say a proper goodbye to the person who stood up as my father when I was young, but now I accept what faith God gave us—he's leading me to a great opportunity. I promise to be the person who will help the family he left.
:My savior my hero This is a beautiful tribute to your grandfather. It's clear how much he meant to you and how deeply his love and lessons have shaped you. The promise you make to honor his memory by helping your family is a wonderful way to keep his spirit alive. May his memory continue to be a source of strength and inspiration for you.

My grandmother is a gardener, we sometimes spend together in our garden to the countryside, not far away from our house. We sometimes make a freshly lunch freshly picked in the garden. In rainy days we make steamed corn sometimes we make porriage in the small wood house in the garden, in summer me and my family go to our garden to have a small picnic, although sometimes we don't go picnic, we rarely do. Also sometimes me and my Grandmother go to church, she always go to the church as sunday's, I rarely go to the church, but I do go if I'm not busy. Me and my grandmother is very close and spends a lot together, in fact she's the one I'm closet's with. One day me and my grandmother usually go to our garden, and this time it was chaos, cause some insects and pesticides eats my grandmother's tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers, I was madly mad cause I also work hard to plant the tomatoes, it was mine for my TLE subject, my grandmother was stunned and she laughs it off and order me to get the fertilizer I don't know if that was called but I handed the fertilizer, I clean the garden path while my grandmother fertilize the eaten veggies, and when we go to have a lunch together my grandmother said "That m you Trisha, I grew a lot of veggies by your help," I reply "no problem grandma, I don't do anything in the house anyways" we talks a lot about my grandmother's pass. At noon we packed our things and leaves the garden.

My cousin Pampam and I were always together when we were still kids. She is only one year older than me, but it felt like we were the same age because of how we treated each other. We considered each other as siblings. We were always playmates and loved to joke around. Rain or shine, we were always together. She was often at our house, or sometimes I was at theirs, and there were even times when I would sleep over at their place.

Whenever I’m at my grandma’s house, it always feels like the safest and comfy place in the world. As she's the kind of grandma who will protect me from any scolding from my parents. If my parents call and start getting mad at me for something small, she’s always there, quietly saying, “Let him be, he's just a curious kid,” or finding a way to distract them about it. I don’t know how she does it, but somehow whenever I'm with her I always feel like nothing can really go wrong, as It’s not just about keeping me out of trouble—it’s about making me feel love and same all the time
And then there’s her cooking. As Grandma always makes all the viands I want. Whether it’s tinola, sinigang or even just fried tilapia and rice, she makes it exactly the way I like it. Sometimes she even put some extra for me, just so I can have seconds or take some home.and I love watching her in the kitchen, moving so easily while telling little stories about her day or past or even about when my parents were kids like me. She lets me help sometimes, like stirring or adding seasoning, but even when I make a mess, she just laughs. Being with her while she cooks isn’t just about the food—it’s about the love she puts into it.
One important thing I’ve learned from Grandma is that protection and care can be shown in small ways. She shows me that looking out for someone, listening to them, and even cooking their favorite food is a way of saying, “I've got you,I love you” Even now, whenever I help someone or cooking small things for my parents or siblings, I think about her and try to do the same. Grandma’s kitchen and her hugs and kisses aren’t just memories as they'll be part of my life that I'll always remember

Delete**A Bond Beyond the Net: A Mother-Daughter Relationship Through Volleyball**

DeleteThe Unbreakable Bond Between Mother and Daughter

Delete"End less love"
Tittle:My cousin who feels me like a real sister
ReplyDeleteMy sister?

DeleteA Special Kind of Love

ReplyDeleteTitle: appreciating small things that are too much for me
ReplyDeleteIn my life, I've always been thanking god that he gave a wonderful parents for me, I don't know if i can explain much more about how i feel really lucky to have them around me.
DeleteI was really touched by your story about your parents.

DeleteYour tale is such a lovely testament to your parents' sacrifices and love.

TITLE: A Lesson from My Grandma
ReplyDeleteI always loved spending time with my grandmother.

SPENDING DAY WITH GRANDMOTHER
DeleteI am a solo child of an overseas Filipino worker father and a teacher who works miles away from home.

DeleteI really liked your story, “Papa, My OG: Real Talk and Good Times,” because it shows the strong bond you have with your dad.

ReplyDeleteTitle: My savior, my hero.
ReplyDeleteMy grandfather is one of the most inspiring and kindest people I know.

ReplyDeleteTitle:My aunt who is always there for me
ReplyDeleteAunt Cheryl is a wife of my mom's older brother, when Aunt Cheryl still doesn't have a child she always spoiled me including my mom even if we insist Aunt Cheryl is the one who supports me by anything I do. We always sing together whenever I visit Marikina we most likely to challenge each other when it comes to singing cause I was cocky back then, even if I'm cocky she wouldn't really mind and just compete to. When she had a son Aunt Cheryl is stressful she almost lost a child back then I forgot what happened there luckily it survive and their expenses is expensive even after that I'm happy that she's resilient. Her son now is a big boy named Caleb she can now visit me with her son, when there's an event coming related to pageant she will attend with her son even if I had my mother she always wanted to visit as long as she's not busy she puts on my make up help put on my dress even my hairstyle Aunt Cheryl said she was ready to have a daughter but she thought it was, well she had to accept a big boy Caleb. Back then I was in Mrs Sapinit and I represent my section there, changing clothes in 4 theme Casual, sports, ootd, and Gowns. She is super prepared even if it's sudden even if I'm not in place I have an award in best in ootd where my outfit is her handsewed clothes I was forever thankful for that²⁵⁰
even now this upcoming Mrs science where you will make a recycled gown I already said it to her and she agreed to take care of me for that upcoming Mrs science but I realized only Aunt Cheryl can go and without my mom cause she's busy and cannot attend. I cancelled being the representative and she understands cause it is my desicion I already said it to her before she makes my recycled gown.

ReplyDeleteTitle: My grandmother's garden
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother is a gardener, we sometimes spend together in our garden to the countryside, not far away from our house.

ReplyDeleteMy cousin Pampam and I were always together when we were still kids. She is only one year older than me, but it felt like we were the same age because of how we treated each other. We considered each other as siblings. We were always playmates and loved to joke around. Rain or shine, we were always together. She was often at our house, or sometimes I was at theirs, and there were even times when I would sleep over at their place.

Title: Grandma’s Kitchen Love
ReplyDeleteWhenever I’m at my grandma’s house, it always feels like the safest and comfy place in the world.
